Races

2014

This year I want to embed the consistency from last year and build on it. I'd like to hack those PBs some more.

2013

This year I wanted to focus on consistency. What I mean by that is running several times a week, every week. Not running a lot then not running for weeks or months on end, losing all that lovely fitness. Like I did by mostly not running for the last 6 months of 2012.

2012

The year of 'ultra'. I felt the call of the wild. I wanted to go long. I wanted to grow a beard and sleep under a hedge. Unfortunately my ambitions were far in excess of my capabilities so it was all rather painful. But it was done. And trails are where I want to be so I will be back..

2011

This was the year of triathlon, so as well as running I was doing quite a bit of swimming and cycling. The 10k, half & marathon were all PBs.

*Throughout this blog I may use the word 'race'. This is just me getting excited. What I really mean is 'participating in an event & hoping not to be overtaken by too many pensioners'. It's just that 'race' is shorter. And sexier.
